At Vidyasetu Education, we strive to provide the highest quality educational experience. We understand that circumstances change, and we have outlined our refund and cancellation policies below to ensure clarity and fairness for all parties.
For our group learning sessions, the following policies apply:
Refund Eligibility: Refunds are only applicable if a request is made before the child has attended four (4) classes. Once the child has attended four classes, the course fee becomes strictly non-refundable.
Course Commencement: Generally, once a course has fully commenced and the 4-class window has passed, refunds will not be issued.
Transfer of Fees: If your child is unable to attend the current course batch for any valid reason, we offer the flexibility to transfer the remaining fees to the next available batch. This ensures your child does not miss out on the learning opportunity.
For private learning programs (e.g., 108-class packages), we offer a pro-rata refund policy subject to the following terms:
Pro-Rata Calculation: Parents may apply for a refund for the unutilized portion of the course. The refund amount is calculated on a pro-rata basis, adjusting for any discounts originally given.
Note: This means the classes already attended will be charged at the Regular Fee (undiscounted rate), and the difference will be refunded from the Net Amount Paid.
Processing Fee: A processing charge of 10% will be deducted from the final calculated refund amount.
Alternative Option: Instead of a refund, we are happy to help find another suitable program for your child within Vidyasetu Education using the balance amount.
To ensure transparency, here is an example of how a refund is calculated if a student withdraws early.
Scenario: A student enrolls in a 108-class program but withdraws after 72 classes.
Regular Program Fee: ₹43,200 (₹400 per class)
Discount Offered: 25%
Net Amount Paid by Parent: ₹32,400 (₹300 per class)
Step 1: Calculate cost of classes consumed (at Regular Fee) The student loses the discount for the portion attended because the package was not completed.
Calculation: ₹43,200 (Regular Fee) ÷ 108 Classes × 72 Classes Completed = ₹28,800 (Value of consumed classes)
Step 2: Calculate Gross Refund
Calculation: ₹32,400 (Paid Amount) – ₹28,800 (Value Consumed) = ₹3,600
Step 3: Deduct Processing Charge
Calculation: 10% of ₹3,600 = ₹360
Step 4: Net Refund Amount to Customer
Total Refund: ₹3,600 – ₹360 = ₹3,240
